This Website is about the wonderful Condo Community that Bob (me) has lived in since
2012, Mount Vernon Condominium, located in Bradenton, FL, close to the Gulf Beaches.
Mount Vernon Condominium is a Resident-Owned, active 55+ Waterfront Condominium Community,
established 50 years ago. Most have a Water-View of our Canal, Lakes or
Sarasota Bay. Direct Sarasota Bay, IntraCoastal and Gulf access.
Don't let that "50 Year Old" thing dissuade you from Mount Vernon Condo if you
are considering moving down this way from the far, frozen North Country. That
"50 Year Old" thing is a pretty good asset when "weathering" our Tropical Storms
and Hurricanes. Very sturdy Concrete Homes here. More about that later in this Website.
(Also, we have never flooded like other Communities in the area, 50 Years!).
But also keep in mind that Mount Vernon has 50 Years of knowing what its Operating
Costs are. The newer Condo Communities around here which are being built in former
Agricultural farming lands, have not been subject to our Gulf Coast Storms, nor do
they have any long-term Track Record of Expenses.
That "Expenses" consideration is very important if you are heading toward Retirement
time in your life and finally want to take a break from your previously stressful Life.
Continuity and Permanence are good-things when you are thinking about your next Chapter.
Mount Vernon Residents have mostly moved
here from huge Homes up North and are tired of taking care of them. Typically
our Homes here in Mount Vernon Condominium are in the 1100 to 1400 Sq. Ft. size.
Easy to take care of.
And I mention this later in the Website: "You take care of the
Insides, and Mount Vernon takes care of the Outsides". Roof, Painting, Power-Washing,
Lawn Mowing, Landscaping, etc. See my "Amenities" Page...
I also mention that Mount Vernon, while the Homes are really nice (Villas, Lake Homes
and Condos), Mount Vernon is all about the "Outside and the Outdoors", both here
in Mount Vernon and also three miles down the road to the Gulf Beaches. Our Residents
are in the Age-Bracket where they want smaller size Homes, and Mount Vernon Homes are
perfect for this 55+ focus.
Just three miles from the Beaches of Anna Maria Island and the Gulf. It's close by
to Tampa, St. Petersburg, Sarasota and their Airports, if you are still traveling or
are considering to be a Florida Snowbird.
